I qualified at Istituto Tecnico Agrario of Florence in 1995 and after a first experience of grape harvest in Panzano in Chianti and after attending the course to become a sommelier, I arrived in Faltognano in 1999.
The impact between me and the Earl was immediately “weird” and straightforward. At that time I was 22 years old (and had a lot of hair), the Earl asked me “… what can you do?” and I answered “… nothing, I am only willing to learn…”, “…fine…” said the Earl, “you have just arrived and you are already at 80%”.
From that moment I have been thrown in a whirl of human and working novelties, I found myself working and actually living in a place where agriculture and its traditions where still deep-rooted, I came from Florence and this was a great leap for me.
